CAD Design

At UFORCE, every great build starts with a strong design foundation. Our team utilized advanced CAD software to create a custom chassis and modular components to our game strategy. By simulating our robot virtually, we were able to identify design conflicts early, optimizing part placement and ensuring precision in our final build. The custom CAD chassis offers both stability and flexibility, allowing us to easily iterate improvements throughout the season. Not to mention, but the appealing visuals. This design-first approach has empowered our team to work efficiently, reduce build errors, and bring innovative mechanical solutions to life.

Robot Design

Our robot is a product of intentional engineering and creative problem-solving. The structure features a fully customized chassis that supports a lightweight but durable frame, designed specifically for agility and strength during game play. The intake system is optimized to reliably gather game elements, while our unique outtake claw features fine control for precise scoring and placement. Every mechanical subsystem was built with modularity in mind, allowing quick swaps and adjustments during competitions. Each design decision—from the compact wiring layout to the 3D-printed mounting brackets—reflects our commitment to practical innovation and on-field performance.

Limelight & Programming

One of the key innovations in our robot is the integration of the Limelight 3A vision sensor. Using Limelight, we developed a system to detect and align with color-coded game elements in real time, enhancing our robot’s autonomous decision-making and scoring consistency. Our programmers utilized custom pipelines and fine-tuned neural networks to increase detection accuracy in dynamic field lighting. Beyond vision, we’ve implemented modular and reusable code structures that allow us to quickly adapt to new tasks. This fusion of hardware and intelligent software has made our robot not only smart, but highly adaptable in the face of competition challenges.

Connect

At UFORCE, we believe strong teams build stronger communities. With the support of seven incredible sponsors from the metal and material manufacturing industry, we’ve forged meaningful partnerships that go beyond funding—engaging in technical discussions, factory tours, and material education that enhance our engineering process. We extend that spirit of connection through our outreach programs, which include leading hands-on workshops and introducing younger students to FIRST LEGO League (FLL) and the world of robotics. Our one-to-one online mentoring initiative pairs rookie FTC teams with experienced members of our team, helping bridge knowledge gaps and build confidence. Whether it’s through in-person events or digital platforms, UFORCE is committed to creating a collaborative and inclusive robotics network.

Motivate

UFORCE is driven by the mission to inspire curiosity and confidence in STEM for all. We use social media platforms like Instagram and YouTube to share behind-the-scenes looks at our build process, match strategies, and team culture. Our content isn’t just for entertainment—it’s educational. From myth-busting videos to step-by-step programming tutorials and design walkthroughs, we aim to make robotics more accessible. Our podcast series dives deeper, exploring themes such as women in STEM, age diversity in engineering, and how different communities can get involved in technology. Through storytelling, transparency, and genuine outreach, we strive to break down barriers and show that STEM is for everyone.
